2007 imprint female peregrine aka. Tulula (don’t ask)
I thought I’d put a post up about my imprint peregrine falcon she’s 7 weeks old now and a real gem. I’ll put some pictures up of her as she progressed from being a chick right through to now. She weighed in at a cracking 2lb 4oz this morning empty and she hasn’t fully filled out but she’ll make a very good weight. I’m over the moon with her she’s silent when out hasn’t bated off the fist ever. She’ll accept the hood first time and will let me play with her feet while eating off the lure. She shows no nasty imprint signs but all the positive ones. Its my first attempt at a social imprint and although its been an bit off a challenge to never let her see me bring food its been worth it. The real credit has to go out to Bill Buck though. One very pleased dad here now we are just getting to the flying stage I’m going to put up a progress report.

Enjoy, Chris.

My initial plans are to get her fit then to put her over some early season game. Then she'll go in to a chamber for future breeding later on in the year i may give her a chick to rear. But she will be flown annualy like my imprint female saker. I like my birds to be multipurpose and to prove themselves.

Not a bad weight at 25 days! what are you planning to do with her?

I would like to put a bigger picture up but i can't get it under the limit without making them too small. Any Ideas?

Cheers griff thats the problem i have to reduce it enough and to keep the quality and clarity as its a 10 megapixel camera at full size is nearly impossible. Would using an image hosting site work on here?

Hi Chris

An image hosting site will work.... just put in an image link to the site in the post as I have..... to enlarge the image and keep quality is always a problem.... a goods graphics package like Adobe CS2 keeps a good quality on enlarging the picture :D

I just went to this link and downloaded the imageresizer tool from microsoft. Then once its installed it becomes part of the menu when you rightclick thumbnails of full size pics. It just says resize it has standard formats and i can't believe how well it resized the image.

I might upload some of the others again now to see the improvement.

Here goes again then. Griff these pictures are resized to the large format and come very close to the upload limit so its probably as good as you will get the small and medium size bring them in well under the limit.
