Wow

Big bird catches something that moves so slowly that moss grows on it

I went out last year with some harris lads and thought I saw some muggings :o

No use to man nor beast!
What are you going to do with one of those?
Imagine shelling out to feed it!!!!<vbg>

Maybe no use for hunting. But you've got to admire the size of it.

They will also take Agouti, its a fast moving animal about 3 lb or so forages on the forest floor fruit etc. The Agouti is fast nice to eat as well, the harpy has also been known to take Paca a smaller cousin of the capybara, excellent eating. had a few big ones up to 8lb or so , not with a harpy though.

Got footed once by a young male (same one in my profile) he was flying free in an aviary tricked him down for a rat, needed to vaccinate him (WNV)
he got ****ed when he saw the vet and got me on the wrist (no Glove) not a scratch on me his foot completely encircled my wrist.squashed but uncut, had to lay himon his back before he would let me go.
