With my new mews/weathering yard complete, I have started to put three golden eagles out on the lawn. As this is a new place to us you never know what or who will be watching. There is a pair of kestrels nesting in a tree not very far from the new mews. They where not all that pleased to see the eagles, but did not protest to much. The next visitor was a just fledged female golden from a near by nest. Hanging in the wind over the three eagles on the lawn, she kept circling looking down sure that she was missing something. Had a female prairie falcon come streeking through, we found her nest which is not far from the eagles. My male eagle Jackhammer loves to play with things he has a rock (it's a good one) and a small stick (also a good one) he attacks them and has killed them many times over. All three are dropping feathers bathing and preening........Joe
