A BIG welcome to TinyLoc Animal Radio Location & Telemetry Systems for signing up to the IFF as Official Sponsors.
TinyLoc is a technological company aimed to the manufacturing of digital telemetry and radio tracking for animals.
Their products are successfully used worldwide in different fields such as falconry and hawking, hunting with dogs and wildlife preservation.
Since their systems are conceived and developed by their own engineers side by side with end users to properly answer to their requests and needs. Our equipments also respect the law in the countries where we market them: CE sign in Europe and 433 MHz (the ONLY legal band in Europe). Also equipments in 216 are available in those countries in which this band is the legal one.
I did two test with this system at the Festival and on the first occasion everyone was pratting about so it was not a real test. On the second occasion it was so convincing that the gentleman I was doing it with not just took advantage of a great festival one off offer of £490 for a complete system in its box but also bought two extra transmitters!
Guys and girls you now have the opportunity to ask Daniel as many questions as you like and find out more about this well price quality stem and how it can be of use to you!
Daniel, many thanks for supporting our site and welcome on board!

welcome aboard, I was very impressed with the little demo at the festival, and think that the digital readout of signal strength is a brilliant idea.

Welcome aboard:supz:
Paul do they still want Jim (outflying) to test the system as discussed?
I know he ws asking about this system a little while back aswell...
I really want to like this system...its compact and seems accurate aswell.
It would be brilliant to have some first hand feedback aswell:idea:

Wecome to the IFF.
Good Timing, I'm looking to completley change my system, has any one done any tests in hilly country, with long wings?
I love the sieze of the reciever, but I would need to know how good it would be on a bad area (Dartmoor)

Welcome to the forum Daniel and Tinyloc
Unfortunately I didnt get to visit your stand at the festival for longer than 30 seconds, but I am very interested in your system for longwings.
Hope to hear more from you shortly

Hi guys!
Thank you very much for your welcome! We really enjoyed the Festival!
I hope we can help you in anyway. I'll be hanging around the telemetry room so if you need anything or you have any doubt just post it there or PM me. Me or anyone here will try to answer you asap.
I hope we finally could do the Telemetry test with the Forum. I think it's necessary that all the falconers knew by sure in what are they spending their money. I think that the quality brands (Marshall, Luxander, etc...) will be interested too.
AAA, I don't know if I told it but Chelsea supporters will be charged with an extra 5% more... (just joking............or not)

I would be more than happy to test/compare it with my marshall set up which has actually worked as it should for a whole month now

Welcome. Just been thinking of changing to the dark side and going "legal" - always used 216 Marshalls - hope to hear good reports of your telemetry as need a good reason to change from a product that has never let me down.

Im on a 173Mhz falconry electronics system and am looking to get a second system on a different frequency. I dont want to get a 216Mhz system so a 433Mhz may be a good alternative.
Do you do a trial/purchase option?

They use them in croatia...but the landscape is vastly different than here. It would be good for a second back up device, nice and portable.
It also need to go up against FALCONRY ELECTRONICS gear methinks.

I strongly support the idea of field testing all the different receivers and transmitters available on the market today, especially the highly advertised ones. A telemetry system is a major purchase for most falconers, so apart from the marketing hype that is put out, there should be some real world testing as well, on which we can base our decisions.
(For the most part, one doesnt know what one is getting in a telemetry system, until one buys its and uses it).

Will be able to compare to Field Marshall, Luksander MN 10, Falconry Electronics (Wildlife Materials Inc) receivers.
All major transmitters inc the new MX transmitter from Merlin systems.
Just hope to be able to trial it in this country.

I have tested a system and still am, with Phi Marshall, RioHawk and some others on the forum and all we can say is wow it is a great little system but still want to do more with it before we give a full report.
So far it has out stripped any 433 system we have ever tested.
Performs better than some systems in various circumstances like the obvious in cars.
It has a really nifty trick up its sleeve that is almost too good to belief hence the MORE testing.
So far in the Torbay area 4 people have seen it and are in contact with TinyLoc to purchase a set!:supz:

I think you are trying to make too much of a big deal of it!
There are systems out there and not everyone is going to get one to test straight away.
What efforts have others made to do the same?
Sounds like you want to damn things before actually taking a serious and open mind look at it.
Here is one for you I challenge any manufacture out there to bring their system up against the TinyLoc and we will go stand behind some big hills that are covered in trees with the transmitter pulsing from behind them when NO signal can be heard with any of the 4 other system receivers we have tried BUT the TinyLoc will still show you the correct way to go!
Please mate be patient.

you got me wrong paul....I would personaly like to see the system strapped to something on the par of what Jim / Wes are doing in the fields....maybe I am bias yes with pushing or Jim as he is out all the time hunting to the max in areas simular to mine in the style that I would like to achieve...with wreckless hawks pushing to the limits.

Goldie

R-400
Luksander
Eskantrak
Marshall
2 of those i wouldn't have as a freebie, but if it is out perfoming the other 2 then it must be pretty good. I think a lot of people are going to be looking for new gear next year if they are on the 216 unless they can be re-chipped or crystaled ?
Hawkmaster
12-09-2007, 08:53 AM
The R-400 was loud with good direction and wonderful up close BUT lacks a headphone socket for distant signals and can not easily allow you to find the signal compared to the TinyLoc.
It also was on 216 and the Tinyloc on 433 which meant we had a few dead spots on the R-400 but not on the TinyLoc although there were place where all systems could not pick anything up.
However the CDD technology of TinyLoc comes into play and then one has to do what seems un-natural and floow the niumbers and not the signal BUT IT WORKS!

I would not have an Eskantrack they are not loud enough. Not enough shielding and get signals in too wide an area.
The R-400 is under-rated, a copy of Luksander but almost better;)

Faris,
You dont need to wait for an answer. Just give Nick a call and he'll sort you mate. Im buying two full set ups and I tell you what I dont think that Ive ever had better service with anything else.
Ive been out on 4 seperate trials of the system and the signal never faltered. I was worried about the weatherproofing of the trannies, but I am told that a trannie was left in a horse trough full of water for 3 months. It worked with no problems afterwards.

All these posts and never one straight answer as to the range compared to 173 marshal gear. Not just the cheapy rtplus but top notch gear like power max and rt standard. Seems to me they have upped the power output and thus lowered the battery life and still only just keep up with the range of rt +. all this just to overcome the issues with 433! Looks great for a goss but still a real issue for me with the range for falcons.
Someone convince me otherwise and I will buy one!

you can clip the receiver to your belt unlike the large marshall unit which you would leave in the car or get somebody else to carry it

Daniel Please dont think for one moment that I am having a go, far from it this is a genuine query. There is an angry debate gong on at the moment about another supplier of telemetry concerning 216 frequency. As 173 is the only legal one in UK do you have any plans to produce your system in this frequency, and lastly what are your intentions regarding your existing customers who have purchased a system on what is an illegal frequency here and what may well prove to be an unworkable frequency at some point in the not too distant future.

I promised to do some tests with the TinyLoc in Scotland when we were flying our Eagles.
We spent a week in Grantown on Spey on the mountains, we were fortunate enough to have one of our group with the new Marshall's Digital system on 173 along with a couple of other systems.
We hung all the transmitters in a tree, There were 2 Marshall Transmitters 1 powermax and 1 RT+ and then tested the range by moving around the area. Our Cottage was about 5 or 6 miles outside of Grantown all the systems apart from one could pick up a signal at around 3 miles distance bearing in mind that there were woods and hills between us. When we got to the far end of Grantown all the systems lost the signal appart from the TinyLoc that was still getting a strong reading on the smitters.
One of our Eagles was left in his box when we went off hunting and I checked the signal from time to time and even on the other side of a big mountain I was still getting a fair reading that was directional from there, at no time did I loose the signal.
The TinyLoc has proved that it works as well in extreem conditions as it does locally here in Kent. I am pleased I invested in a new TinyLoc
Terry :)
