R.I.P Perry. This mornign my Gyr/Pere died for unknown reasons she was perfectly fine yesterday and this morning I went in to find her lying on the floor dead, looks like the end to my falconry carrier for now, i think ive had just about enough.

Keep at it m8,
i just lost my imprint the other day but you have to stay focused, they are birds and do and will suffer health issues.
You just need to stengthen your resolve, learn from this and move on.
I wish you the best of luck and many more hawking years to come.
Chin up!

Sorry for your loss, Nick. My pets are like family to me, as I'm sure yours are to you. I used to keep reptiles and other caged animals. They were completely dependant on me and I beat myself up every time one suffered or died...whether it was my fault or not. It's hard to heal from the loss of a loved one. Give it time.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that you're not alone. Many of us have lost our companions and partners. Take time to heal from this and remember that Whatever you decide to do with falconry in the future, we are here and wish you the very best.

Thankyou all of you for your understanding, shell be greatly missed. I hope that soon enough I might get back into it, but i havent had the best of luck in the past with things such as asper e.t.c. and the financial side if it seeing as I am only 15 meant that my savings bought the bird and monthly pocket money back into the months quail, so I think it might be a while. Im moving to Belgium this summer and although I dont have a bird I was thinking I might find someone maybe that I can go out hunting with, and I have my Braque that I just got to hunt with so that might help keep me in touch with the sport, he is still a puppy now but anyone in Belgium in the next few years who might want another dog to work their birds over and wouldnt mind putting up with me maybe I could try and arrange something. Anyway till then theres the forum and all the diaries, thanks fo the support.
