I just bought an old Falconry Telemetrics telemetry set from a forum member (for an excellent price :D) working but pretty old I had never seen such a long Ariel on a transmitter, the volume control on the receiver got broken by the kids within five minutes of me being out of the room  so I sent the receiver off to Jim Chick to fix and the tag to be reconditioned (it was working but I figured it could do with an overhaul) I had already ordered a spring clip for the tag to tailmount it which arrived the next day, well Jim received the receiver on Monday and i got it back today (Thursday morning) I'm not sure there are any original parts on the transmitter, it looks like I got an entirely new one for the £25 it cost to recondition it and the receiver has had a total overhaul for £18.
Jim called me to tell me what it cost, never really come across such superb customer service anywhere. I didn't have a lot to spend on telemetry and I believe I now have an excellent set up for a fraction of the usual cost,
And to add to my happiness I just got permission on 2 farms riddled with rabbits and my Harris is ready to fly free today.
I think that's worthy of a yey

Totally agree! I use a pretty ancient Falcon Telemetrics system and wouldn't change it - totally reliable and, as you say, first rate service.

unfortunatly when I tested the telem later in the day yesterday it wasn't working so it looks like rough handling by the post office may have made a wire come loose so its gone back to Jim and because of the bank holiday I probably wont have it back till wednesday :cry::cry:
It was all tested and working before it left Jim. bloody royal mail
so Castro wont be free till next week now.
