As promised, a mention about the telemetry system recently acquired from Ben Long. I can recommend it. I needed it the other day (at first light in the Brazilian bush). The habitat was tropical savannah not far from suburbia and the signal was strong despite the amount of dense brush all around. The system was reliable and I was back home within half an hour. It doesn´t seem to be affected by temperature nor humidity extremes - so far.
