I haven' bothered putting much up about the way things have been going this season as I don't have the best descriptive writing ability, but I am having a lot of fun and catching a fair number of crows, and the to little "babes from Kentish are doing great stuff, But did ghave somthing speciasl this evening.
I had cancelled horses today as I had a very well paying group of Americans coming out With the Harris hawks, anyhow they had a great time, caught a couple of rabbits and a Pheasent and had the great spectaclal of danny the spanny (having a little moment) doing an impression of a deer hound:oops:.
Anyhow I got home and thought I had enough tiime to go and get a proper flight so slipped out quickly with Morgan. Now we all know what happens normally when you try to go hawking with limited time, things go very pear shaped, not this time however, I slipped up one of my favorite valleys

42893

and spotted a pair in a good position, that did not (for once) get spoked by the car.
I slipped her from about 150 yards and they started climbing right from the start, and I got the perfect ringer, for about 4 minutes they went up until I could only see them with binoculars ( I'm not a gamehawker so I am going to make no attempt at making up the height:lol:) Morgan was very definatley ringing after one, and as she finally got above it it baled while it was in her blind spot so she took a moment tospot it and folllow, anyhow she hit it as it was half way to the ground then everything dissapeared round the corner. I jumped into the car and picked her up on her crow 3/4 a mile away,

42894

exactley where I thought they would be.
I fed her up and then kicked myself for not putting some one else in as well, plenty of time left.
