What sex is the spar?
This is something I have wondered for some time. I have a stuffed male and female Spar that were mounted in the 1970's and are now very much the worse for wear, but they both have a complete set of long feathers. I had wondered if they would be suitable for imping which, I suppose, would depend on what was used as a preservative. It isn't going to be arsenic as they were done by an amateur and I don't think arsenic was still used then. I have lost touch with the chap who did them.
Any ideas?
Tony

Thanks for the replies,
Sorted now (I think), it was for a female sparrowhawk.
Jim.
