Got the results from the Vet today on what killed the little fella, they confirmed he had Avian Tuberculosis, and had Asper due to the drop in condition. They have told me that he was lucky to be flying as long as he had due to the TB. They couldn't say whether it would be caught through food or what. Still a bit shocked but at least I now know.
I will be clearing out all of the area where Shrek was housed and it will be steam cleaned to ensure alls well for another bird.
I am now going to wait till next year to get a new eyass and start afresh but I will be flying a bird soon. I will post more later.

Sorry about Shrek. Its bloody devistating when you lose a bird. However I think you are wise to wait until next year to get another Gos. Nice young fresh and new so to speak. Atb

I would burn everything that the bird was associated with - TB spores are VERY hardy and VERY VERY VERY difficult to get rid of. Even if this means removing all the soil the bird was weathered on and replacing it.
