really,really fantastic pictures!! i really enjoyed viewing them.
The one day in the group with the photographer, and of course,with all the other falconers,was fantastic. And yes,the bonellis is really fantastic at hare, i've flown her the one day, she's stunning.
She was so powerful while flying,and hold nearly every hare she caught.
Well, here are a few more pics of her.Hope you like them.
All the best

Very nice, Julia, she sure has a tidy set of feet on her. What weight is she? and are her manners good? Would love to see her again in adult plumage!!

I wasnt sure if it was him in the following hare photo???? I've heard tell of the odd male taking hare but never known it myself.
just the one boar then:yawinkle::lol:
had a second peak at him......lovely dark bird looks as though hes seen a few seasons too from the colour of his eyes? very nice

Hi Rob,
her hunting weight was about 2,3kg(5,07 lb).
Yes,her manner is really really good,he's a good falconer.I dont know how many people are flying her, but when I was with him on the hunt,he gave me his bonellis after he has caught a hare with her.After that,I caught 2 with her.She was real stunning,and yes,her feet were nice..:D
If you want to have a look,here I've started a thread about her. http://www.falconryforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=37895
Yes,I hope i'll see her again in adult plumage,too!

Thanks Julia, I dont know how I missed that thread very nice, A few are being bred here in the UK now and I believe a chap in a local club flys one. If I had good hare land I'd be very tempted......What is their speed off the fist like???? ( compared to something I've seen would be helpfull....say a big redtail)
Cheers Rob

in tose days there was also redtail, and my sensation is that the bonelli eagle where little fastest than the redtail, really really great!!!
