Pretty straightforward really. I got permission to fly at 1000ft each day at a particular time and location for three month stretches, then renew the application.
Send application form (attached) to;

Civil Aviation Authority
Air Utilisation Section
Directorate of Airspace Policy,
Civil Aviation Authority,
K102,
CAA House,
45 - 59 Kingsway,
LONDON WC2B 6T

Don't forget the OS map and it takes about a month to process.

Not sure what happened to the CAA application form I attached. It seemed to upload but I can't find it on here. If anyone wants a copy you can email me and I'll send it to them.

This should not be the case, we have both RAf( Tornadoes, harriers, Jaguars etc and USAF F18's etc ) and we have no problems with getting permission. In fact I would say the cooperation with the military is brilliant, having said that if they are doing a fast jet low level run that is dif

This came up once before, to add to what's already been provided by Len I have a phone and fax number plus a name. I've copied my response to the earlier thread so some of this is duplicated from Lens post. Hope this helps.

Barry.

I've been using the system since 2003. This is the address and contact. I have not spoken to them yet this year so I don't know if it is still David Miller.

I have got the application and kite legislation stored on my computer but I can't figure out how to add it to this file. If you PM me I can send it to you by direct email.

Barry.

Quite easy Paul apply to the CAA ( civil aviation authority) and then the RAF Pick up our NOATMS ( Notice to airmen) , of course with their powers I would imagine they if so inclined could overturn a kite 'permission' but they seem to be quite keen on cooprating HTH
