im not a experianced gos man by any means but would have thought this quite unsuited to the gos for fear of loss of the bird , but most if not all gosmen are out for the quaulity of flights with there birds and lamping you dont realy see much of that ,not that im pulling lamping down ;-)

Thanks - that's the reason he's asking. He flew them years ago but these days he's a wage slave and couldn't get out enough through the day so wants to know if it's possible to lamp with them.
Anyone doing it now that I could put him in touch with?

Flew my male gos on the lamp alot last year due to lack of daylight hours. VNever had any probs. First flight at a rabbit he lagged back a bit unsure and ended up putting up into a conifer out of which came a couple of woodies and the chasing was back on! As the woodies went out of the lamp it was shone to the ground and a lure thrown out and he came straight down. That was the first and only time i bothered with a lure. All other flights ended either called back to the fist or picked up off quarry. This bird was almost solely flown to the fist though. Great sport but not as picturesqe as a nice crisp winters day but it suited me well. ATB James.
Thanks - I'll pass that along.
