Andy.. if you can add it.. please do
From the list above I would choose duck for giving the birds weight a boost, as it is the richest meat listed. Pigeon is also rich from what I hear, but I would never feed anypart of it to my bird. I don't know anything about Coot or Moorhen so I cant speak for them. For everyday feeding I use mice of assorted sizes.

My booster food would have to be Quail or good old fashioned liver! Fills them up like nothing else!! Rats seem to throw my Harris out of condition quite easily too.........Just like when you take him out hunting and he F@~*s off to the other side of the River Avon to catch a rat, then refuses to come down out of a tree, after you've walked 45 minutes to get round to his side of the bloody river! Not that I'm bitter or anything!

I don't like to use just one food forobvious reasons but as I voted for pheasant, this is always open to me as I get such a numerous supply either when out shooting or out with the birds. Having said that, I regularly use beef, quail, partridge and rat.
These foods compliment the doc's and when I rest the birds for a short while or the weather is ****, then I feed them up on one or the other for a couple of days.
