Immature Bonelli's hawkeagle. Do a search on Bonelli's (not sure if this is the right spelling) on the forum, there are many pics of them in a few threads.

Hi
In my opinion, it's a chestnutbellied hawk eagle,(hieraetus fasciatus kierni) very similar to
the bonelli,but smaller.

when i see these pics, and read the responses, i realize that the books i learned falconry and field ornithology from, certainly didnt have all, the answers,,
i was amazed at how much the chest color looks like the typical red tail haggards in my area,,,to me that bird looks alot like a redtail,,(obviously it is not )but i dont know bonnelis well, i dont think i ever saw an immature one
it amazes me how many hawkeagle species , on other continents, it takes to fill the same niche that the redtail fills all over north america with very little competition in that niche at all.

Defo looks like a small male bonnelis to me. What ever it is its got thick set legs.

Looks like its eyes are seeled, which probably makes it in Pakistan or Arabia. Does that make it more likely to be a small Bonelli?

I think its a young male bonellis. Friend of mine has one, and he's not even bigger than this one.
