Hi, I have just signed up to the forum to try to find a Goshawk owner who flys (not sure of terminology) his Female Goshawk in Coopersale/Fiddlers Hamlet near Epping, Essex.

A few weeks ago I was driving past and this gentleman was just getting out of his van with his Goshawk. I stopped off and, being a photographer asked if I could shoot his bird (with my camera :-) Anyway, the shots came out much better than I expected and after posting them on another site I am a member of I have been asked and sold a couple of prints of the hawk. Now this leads me onto the subject of this post - I would really like to give the gentleman a print of his bird as a small token, or even send him the full resolution images so he can run off his own prints. If you could contact me at mark.simms@btopenworld.com that would be great as I would love to send him the shots. Not sure how he would identify himself, maybe I could meet him at the place I photographed his falcon and give them to him then (as well as get some more shots of his amazing looking Goshawk.

Hope someone can help me!!

Thanks for the nice comment, it was just an opportunist shoot and they came out far better than expected in the time I had (about 4 minutes). I just wish I had taken the guys name. I posted on here as it looked like the most comprehensive of all the sites, but there are so many out there I am probably barking up the wrong tree.. I dont know, is there an Essex Goshawk Owners club website or something? As you can probably tell I dont know much about Birds of Prey (except they are incredibly photogenic).

Attached another shot for bragging rights :-) Maybe I could offer my photographic services to other owners. lol. thanks again and if someone does know of any sites that would be worth posting on then let me know!!

hi Simms
Im not sure, but i think the guy you are looking for is called Lee Rush,
i dont know him personally, but i know he flies in that area. He certainly
used to be a member of the South East Falconry Group, and probably
still is, so try looking up the SEFG website and maybe someone there can
put you in touch with him? I hope this is of some use to you.

GSPs? I am 90% sure it was a Lab. Anyway, I have emailed the SEFG so I'll see what happens there.

Cheers everyone!

Hi Everyone,

I managed to locate the gentleman in question. Someone nailed the name as Lee Rush and this morning he contacted me (after I sent an email to the SEFG) saying he would love a copy of the prints.

Thanks for all your help on this, hopefully I will get another crack at shooting some more pictures of his Goshawk!

Isnt the internet amazing?

Thanks for all your help!

Mark
