Prob the best Gyr/Saker Male i have ver flown!

Bought in two years ago froma begginer who had bitten off more than he could chew?

Superb Display bird, and very very strong.

Might make a good lowland Game Hawk, but is very good fun to the lure (he wont even look at corvids so dont even think about it?)

02 bird bred in Scotland, parent reared and good manners for a Gyr/Saker

£250.

Pasha is a 2003 female Lugger bred by me!

She was parent hatched and reared and has perfect manners.

Flown lightly to the lure, she was very reliable but could have put a bit more effort in! (prob me not pushing her hard enough?)

These rare birds are getting scarse, so no offers on this one!

£500

Hi Varmit,

Never seen a Saker in action - My recollection is that they tend to be rather high priced in the US.

Nice try, you on comission :D Any more birds and the wife and new baby will boot me out the door :?

Tempted by the lugger though................Nooooooooooooooo cant!!!

Well pleased with the birds Adrian, just as you said pin perfect. The small FHH is already stepping to the fist at top weight, she's a beauty. The F Saker is as wild as wild can be, she's got some power for a small bird, god knows what a 2 1/2 pounder would be like. Got her jessed up ok, with a little errr lot of help. She will now carry ok hooded, so hopefully soon unhooded. Might put her in for breeding this season, she's a great colour.

Thanks again

Thing is, if you buy it, you'll have to change your name to'Got a Gyr/Saker'

if you want it go for it. They all sound like pukka birds, so you wont get a duff one; it'll be down to whether you can fly it to it's potential. You'll only wish you had once it's gone. Take the plunge and enjoy yourself.

Hannah, a good friend had a little male Saker, he was 1 in a million, I have never known any bird to have a better, more calmer nature and doubt I ever will, what an absolute joy to watch fly.....sadly a Peregrine got him off guard...... was gutted....

Sorry Adrian, to get back on topic.......

07-01-2005, 04:53 AM
Well, the other HH has gone to a none forum member, but the Lugg, and Gyr/Sak are still here!

The Gyr/Saker is very quick and prob best suited to someone with some lure swinging experience!!

The Lugger would make a very nice flyer/Breeder prob best suited to a centre.

Afshimo
07-01-2005, 09:01 AM
Hiya,

lol, we (the centre) already got a lugger female, but if you can't get the gyr/sak sold, and i can get someone to deliver the bird, I'm on the look out for a nice male for displays.
