Wez,
As far as sticking to plans was concerned 2007 was an unmitigated disaster. Take this falcon for example. The night I completed the deal it was a commercial transaction. I had two puppies to go and Paul had lots of possible combinations of birds. On the basis that two young males would be easier to sell I took them. Had I known that within hours of the deal being sealed some light fingered f****r would make off with Bella, my FHH I would probably have gone for the breeding pair but I wasn't to know. Rooks and gulls seemed the obvious choice as quarry for this bird but this year I have managed to come up with some amazing ground to shoot over and it is alive with pheasants so I have decided to fly Thor at pheasants off the fist. If you take yesterday as an example between 10:00 and 16:00 with a break for lunch Roxy and Tam produced in the region of 30 shootable pheasants. Quite a number of them literally at my feet. So pheasants it is going to be.
Robby,
I have answered you PM on the Gundog and Birddog Forum.
