Imprinting method Goshawk

Hello everybody,

Because i'm new here on the forum i wont to introduce myself. My name is Johnny and i'm 34 years old andi live on as mall place on the planet called Belguim.Now why do i nees you al, i wont to inprint a goshawk for hunting and i wont a social one that wont have stress and that i can fly with a higher weight. Because i dont now mutch the inprinting proces i ask to you all if someone can help me to do it right (i also read a lot on this forum).What i ask from the people with experiance to give me a inprinting methode to become a good huntingbird ( i wont to hunt from the fist). Plaese give me a detailed subscribtion with when to do wath. I orderd myself a female goshawk for the next breeding season and i need some good information because i dont find that good book The inprint accipiter of Micael McDermott. Can someone tell me what time i thake it away from the parents, do i need a reptile mat to keep it warm? I can thake it to my work because they dont care and than i can be 24 hours a day with the goshawk.

hello johnny,
go to the shortwinged secton of this forum, then the members birds diarys section, read all the threads on imprints then the dairys on these birds, you will get a decent idea how to make a decent hawk with the information given.

Hi johnny

From your post it is very clear that your knowldge on imprints is minimal,
this does not mean you should not do an imprint it just means you have a lot of reasearch on the subject the best advice i have is go to the shortwing section and have a read of the diarys and keep reading them then if you have questions come back and ask them again as your understanding will be greater
