okay i have to admit i have been very lax in sorting out my diary as i have been really busy trying to get their permanent aviary sorted well here goes
saturday they arrived early evening so were taken to their temporary accomadation and let out of their boxes to settle for the night. Sunday i thought i would go down and sit with them for a few hours and read to let them get used to me and ended up in there for three hours with the female being rather vocal whenever i turned the page in the book i took up there . niether of them would let me near them so just sat with them and offered out food to see if i could get them closer and realise i wasnt a threat to them alas it didnt work so i left them their food and left them to it..
Monday pretty much the same as sunday but i was actually lucky enough to get close to the male without him doing a bolt so things were getting a little better with him but the female was still very vocal and twitchy so i tried not to disturb her too much i left them to it with some food. i called back up to see them early evening just before all the light was gone and they had chilled quite nicely i managed to get the male on the glove without an ounce of fuss and got within a ft of the female without any problems :D..
down to today well i started the day out similar to yesterday went out for a while to sit with them and read and the female was vocal but not so twitchy but the male was still his quiet easy going self i left em to it after about an hour to sort some bits out and catch up on some web pages. around 3 i went up to fit the jesses into the females anklets so i could get her wieghed first time i managed to get close enough to get her on the fist once she settled down i moved slowly over to the scales and she hopped on after a little fuss 2lb 3 oz great thats a base for me to wwork from :D now was the males turn he was slightly more easy i placed the scales near him and he hoppe up on them without a worry :D :D grins all round he came in @ 2lbnow came the fun part getting his furniture on it went relatively easy and am quite please thats it for today i have left them to get some much needed peace :D
