If you dont want them to breed mate I would separate them fairly soon. Watch out for him passing her food and doing a little dance for her. If she starts accepting the food and head bobbing/ lifting her tail, the pitter patter of tiny tallons aint far away! :D

Hi Jay, congratulations on your new arrivals! If they're getting down to some sweet loving, let 'em get on with it. You can always send one my way! :)

Welcome to the forum Mat!

I think it may be best to start a new thread with that question.

A polite notice is to take your caps lock off when typing as it is considered shouting and rude.

Hope that is OK?

What you flying at the minute?

Jay,
If you have nowhere for them to build a nest and no nesting material, then this will help a great deal.
If in the event she does lay any eggs, take them away. You could boil them & give them back so she has something to sit on so she doesn't double clutch.
Just a thought.

Regards,
LLL.

Wow it's all happening on this thread?

Firstly, why would you want to split them up at this time of year?

Secondly, as that nanny killing maniac says, no nest site or material will make it harder for them to breed, but the first signs will be nest building.

Finally, i would suggest letting them go thru the breeding Cycle and then start your flying project mate! If you want them to breed, strat to feed them smaller amounts in their aviary but more often (3-4 times a day) as this will encourage food passes and courtship.

Mat: Natural Hybridation does take place often in a captive environment, but i would think that getting this pair settled might pose a proble as well as the fact that Sakers do tend to come into condition earlier than the Peregrines. His amourose advances might come too late, so maybe you might get an infertile first clutch! if they are paired and bonded your second clutch might be more successful.
