I am thinking off trying night lamping, how do you get the hawk to accociate lamp-food.
I was thinking off starting off on the back and shine the lamp on to some food so she learns to accociate the at the end off the lamp is food is this the right idea or is there another way.
also what stop the hawk from roosting if she missies a kill and goes off into a tree

i trained my bird the same as you are suggesting she picked it up in half an hour training i took her out after shone the light on some bunnies and she was right up for it!!! with my bird the hunt oh and the darkness stops her roostin!!!! coz she flys quite short distances if she dont catch she will land or crash!!!i dunno if this is right but it works for me but i turn the torch off so she dont go nowhere when i want her back normal whistle and torch shined on glove
