Greg,We had a great time for sure.I couldn't beleive how many jacks we saw,I told one of the guys " I just saw more rabbitts in 300 yards than 3 months at home!"My buddy took a couple hundred pics.I'll have him email me some and try to post them.I wish I could have been there longer. My buddy flew out on Tuesday, but I was still in the hospital.I got out Wednesday and flew out Thursday morning.Good timing though,I got home very early monday morning and was back in the hospital by Friday!

Perforation in my intestine.Thought I was getting the flu about six months ago.I felt lousy for about a week, fever and chills. The Dr. did a bunch of blood tests,he thought I may have had Lymes,Everything came back ok.Then I got some real bad chest pains,I thought I was having a heart attack. They sent me for a cat scan and found out I had a hole in my intestine that was leaking out into my body cavity. The fever was from the infection and the chest pains was an air bubble putting pressure on my heart.I went into the hospital for awhile with massive doses of interveinous anti biotics.I have to have surgery, but It needs to heal up a little on its own before they can do it.The week before the meet in broke again and I was back in the hospital for a few days.I had some pretty good pain the friday after the meet, but it was only an abbcess over the hole ,so I was only in a day and a half.If everything stays together,I'm scheduled for surgery on April 1st. They wanted to do it the middle of March, but I can hop the border into New York to hunt until March 31!!!!

What a guy!! That is dedication for you. Put off surgery for a hole in your intestine untill after hawking season!!:supz:
Just be careful, wouldn't want it to get worse and have something major happen to you.
I had my gaul bladder taken out a couple yrs ago. Had the surgery on Tuesday was walking right away, then Hawking Friday at a MN Mini Meet. I was slow, and needed help, but I was out flying my bird.
I would have put the surgery off but the pain just got too bad. I dealt with it for a couple yrs trying to control it with diet, it didn't work very good.

Oh,don't worry I'm being very careful.I'm eating chicken breast, tuna and cream of wheat, that's about it.The Dr. said 99% of the time they have to do emergency surgery for this.I got lucky and it closed over on it's own.If they can do the surgery when it's healed,I should be out of the hospital in a couple of days.I asked her what the longest one of her patients stayed in after emergency surgery and she said 9 months with a lot of complications!!!!!! I don't want that!!! Yep,Tasha most falconers are nuts.I got a stick in my eye a few years ago squirrel hawking.I was running around shaking vines looking up and a branch went under my glasses and right into my eye,It went along side my eyeball and quite away down the socket. It felt like I got shot in the eye and it dropped me right to my knees.I rolled over on my back and while I was laying there,I saw the squirrels tail,so I grabbed the vines and started shaking them!He bailed and made it into a hole.I called the bird down and headed to the hospital.I told my buddy about it and he said " you have a major problem!" I said "I know we had that squirrel dead to rights and I let it make it to a hole!"

I would have said that, but I actually live east of the Mississippi. By about 15 miles.
I don't do well in the heat, and I like the snow. I lived in San Diego for 4yrs and hated it.
