Had a cracking afternoon with two cracking flights from Morwenna and Morguesse, my two babes from Kentish falconry both ending sucessfully but the really enternaining bit was a bit of magpie hawking using the combined efforts of Charlie a male Peregrine saker and Danny the spanny, I got a nice slip at a magpie, but charlie completely his first pass alowing it to get up wind and take cover in some clumpy gorse
There was no way i was going to be able to get it moving in there so I sent in Danny to the rescue.
Charlie and danny are quite a team at this sort of falconry and on a windy day like this charlie sticks with Danny about 20' up, and caught it on the forth flush
Not classical falconry by any stretch of the imagination but hugely entertaing to watch
