Hello falconers friends,
First of all, I apologize for my bad english.
I am a falconer from Brazil and in the last month I had the pleasure to meet Dan Paradis, founder and owner of the Quebec Traditional Falconry Centre (Centre de Fauconnerie Traditionelle du Québec - http://www.centredefauconnerie.com/).
I went to Canda to french studies and I went to de Centre to meet Dan. It was simply amazing. The hawks and falcons are very bealtifull and all of them are very well treated. He breeds them every year.
Dan was very receptive (and his wife, who is adorable) and we spent many hours talking about everything in falconry. I gave him a little souvenir from our Falconry Association (www.falcoariabrasil.com.br) and he gave me gifts of his own.
The place is very bealtifull, near Quebec City. Dan is a real nice guy and a very competent falconer and breeder. With just hours of conversation I could learn a lot. You peopple have to know that is amazing for us, brazilians, meet some species like Goshawk, Gyrfalcon, Saker, etc... We donīt have those here in Brazil, and we canīt import them.
So, I want to tell that I enjoyed a lot the trip. I am really sorry that I had such a short time to visit Dan. He is very patience and very funny. I strongly recommend to you, who are able to go visit him, than go! I am sure you will have a nice time with a lot of information and laughs.
He works hard so everything can be just perfect for the animals. I told him I will probably go back to Canada in one or two years. I hope I can spend more time with them, such a friendly couple.
Dan, thank you very much, and please thank your wife for me. I hope Itīs all right with your new baby and hole family.
I have a lot of pictures, but in this moment they are all in my girlfriendīs notebook. I can post them later.
