Think this one may be too big!!!
Think there is a thread on here somewhere to do with kites etc though,
will try to find it!

I can only recommend one type.........Delta.
It has to be the best option due to it's steep flying angle and stability.
Strangely enough, I have a full 'falconry kite kit' for sale........
£750.00............I'll chuck in the female peregrine F.O.C.
Regards,
LLL.
details here.....(includes a link to other photos of kite etc.......)

Any of the deltas are ok mate, its the release mechanism you need to get right. I use a Cannon Bait Clip with adjustable tension. Try Northwoods.

have you checked out Dan Leigh's website ?
I bought one from him a few weeks ago. He was really helpfull.
I wouldn't know a bad kite from a good one but all he does is make kites so I knew I wouldn't be taking a chance with him.
He even supplied a spare spine with it which I thought was a bit odd until I nosed dived the kite into the ground and broke the spine !
Thats why there was a spare

Hi HH,
I got the Wildcard which is good for up to 18mph. Thought that would suit the conditions up here in the frozen north.
Saying that, I tried it for the first time with the falcon last Sat and not a breath of wind !
Did you notice on his web site that they are made to order ? Mine took 3weeks. Permission to fly took the same time though.
Wish I knew then about Varmints. Thats got to be the best option.
Why are you getting rid Varmint, do you not rate the use of kites ?

Great for early fitness but they can start some irrepairable habits?
Have fun!

HH --
I saw this sale on Delta kites.
http://www.sunoakkites.com/accessories.html
I had a delta-coyne model that recently was trampled by a herd of black angus cows. Iwas told that the angle (not sure how to explain this.. the angle of the hypotenuse is steeper thus needing less line to attain the a particular height) of delta flying is greater than most. I'm going to order one.... it even comes with 500 ft of string

No Problem! You are doing fine, just asking around here does the job usually.
PM=Personal Message, if you look at someones post or profile you will see the little PM icon, click on it and you can send them an email on the forum system as it were.
To find him, simply click on the SEARCH icon at the top left of any page and enter 'Sparrow' into the second box down next to Search by author.
Tell him you would like your own forum on here, and he will give you details and then you can benefit from selling on here too.
HTH? (Hope that helps?)
Paul
