this may sound a ridiculous question but what does raptor diarrhea look like. I was sitting with kadabra last night and just thinking of owly stuff and the thought crossed my mind (i know i have nice thoughts). How can you tell if a raptor has the runs? does it smell? does it look very different?
i know this is a weird question but a genuine one

I dont think it could get much more liquid! lol!! Discoloured mutes are more of a concern, normally green.

Sorry for my english..
Diarrhea is when dark part of mute is wery liquid or like runny paste. It can smell, but not always. It can be discolored or strange color (like orange  ). If you is in doubt, I can post pics  .

Ramka is right, When the Urates(white stuff) and the Feces(dark stuff) are mixed together in a runny ...well, diarreha looking stuff....then there could be a problem if it happens consistently...........Hawk poop can tell ya all kinds of things about your birds condition.....Poop 101

yesssssssssssss jiff this is exactly what i mean!! when i see some of kadabra's mutes some have already splattered once reached the floor so how could i tell the day he does have diarrhea or not (apart from the colour) but even then i dont know what is normal and what is not.

i could be wrong here but if owls drop more "brown bombs :vom: " than usual it could point to stomach problems but im not sure about any other signs or even if its an issue with diurnal BOP

Interesting. I'm joining the club of Willing to See lol!
Well, no idea about diarrhea (what a word to write for a foreigner :P) but when my kes was ill, his droppings were nasty looking green. After he recovered I was used to checking the poo  Funny as it may sound, but really really valuable...

A good vet and regular checks on the mutes might be an interesting way to learn about health, also you may want to invest in a health guide there are several excellent authors, that was part of my resposibility when I was an apprentice. I found you can get too many opinions from too many people which will only lead you to confusion and possibly some unchangeable mistakes.
