Well looks like its the end of season on the farms I'm are using folks.
We went out with the birds and the ferrets yesterday. We went to the first set after getting everything my mate sent the ferret in. After about 5 minutes the finder box came out. And we were searching for the ferret, it was on a sand bank as well, what joy. After pinpointing the ferret my mate started to dig him out. Out came the ferret followed by 3 dead baby rabbits. The hole was then filled in and we came away, gutted.
We couldn't believe that the rabbits had mated so early. But then these winters are getting milder. Thats it for the rabbits until next season.
Are you guys having better luck than we are or are you having the same experiences?. Let us know folks, please.
Regards Ken.

I had a big milky doe last week, so it looks like thats not far off it for me as well. Just about everything else went out of season on Jan 31 so there isn't much option really.
Time to get the longwings fighting fit for the display season! Hard life isn't it lol!!

No young rabbits yet but did catch a female rabbit the was pregnant on Saturday (early stages though). So i will be finishing my season early. Not been to good year here. My 3 best bits of land have all been hit badly by mixy and speaking to a few friends and other land owners in the area they are reporting the same.
Can't wait for next year. Hopefully things will of improved a bit.

only 2 days ago i saw 3-4 baby rabbits running around. Maybe they were older than i though, but they looked about 1/3 grown. Very strange isn't it, and pigeons have more broods than nature intended.
