How much ground does it have?

PigDog
31-03-2008, 06:31 PM
Not very much, somewhere in the region of 0.3 ha

The farmer who owns all the surrounding land is a nice man and has huge amounts of ground

Yellow Hawk

what knid of quarry on the farmers land, and do you have the rights to hunt. how much land does the farmer have and is there any other land available from different landowners. is there any shooting that happens in the area.

PigDog
04-04-2008, 05:39 PM
Please research caithness, quarry is hare, geese, pheasent, rabbit, tree rats, wood cock, pigeons, corvids of every british species etc...it's a sub arctic tundra that's inhabited by people.

You name it we have it.

Again as for space for hunting, no shooting except for deer, why shoot rabbits and foxes when there is 3 species of deer and every kind of game.

Farmers land mounts into thousands of HA, reseach the "FLOW LAND" the whole oif the innner part of the country here for hundreds of square miles is un-inhabited, owing to the highland clearances only the coast is inhabited, nothing inside the edges.

Amazing world this, cheap house.

Will accept a fixed price of 120k, negotiable if you can move quickly. donation will be made to the forum

How about a £500 contribution to a IFF falconers retreat, if there is enough people any thing could be achieved. We could eventually have them all over the country. just a mad thought may-be.

PigDog
07-04-2008, 06:10 PM
If i sell my house as a direct action through IFF then i am happy to pay £500 to a cause deemed suitable by IFF members following the result of a poll.

Sound good?

It needs to be sold, why not to you?

will take £119 fixed.

very cheeky reply condor, I do not think I will purchase anything from you, manners cost nothing.

Surprised there is pheasant on land and nobody shoots them, how did they arrive from Asia.

Well me thinks they must of migrated into the highlands of Scotland.

Deer stalking well, well ,well they allow you to hunt when this is happening, with erm bullet rifles.

Show some respect you might recieve some back.:x

Research I could wipe the floor with you with knowledge and I do not even know you.

LEGITIMATE QUESTIONS WERE ASKED FROM A PROSPECTIVE BUYER, CHEEK WAS NOT PART OF THIS.

You misunderstand me i was referring to some of the IFF members clubbing together £500 or so per person to purchase, of what could be the first of many properties for Falconry trips etc. Although weak sum individually, in mass creates strength and a real long term benefit for members. Like i said a mad idea:wink:

Eh! Your post confuses me an its seems others too. Where was he disrespectful or ill mannered towards you??

Ive read his answer several times over to make sure I havnt missed anything. Seems a perfectly reasonable answer to your question. The only one who appeared rude is yourself.

So my conclusion to this is either you need medicaton or I do!

confused about reply!

I asked a perfectly reasonable question about land available for hunting as permission for hunting land should be requested, instead i received a list of mammal, bird life and terrain of the area and told to research Caithness.
I dont know about other areas that anybodyelse flies BOPs but if there are pheasants present in large numbers this usually means there is a pheasant shoot! Where i live this in turn usually means BOPs are not welcome.
As far as deer stalking is concerned this is carried out with a rifle and needs a backdrop for the bullet so flying/hunting BOPs in this area would not be an option for me thanks very much

But nowhere in the post was he rude as you suggested. The only one being rude is yourself. Oh and also more than a little sarcastic with this reply.

I was right. You need medication.

Sorry to Condor for hi-jacking the thread, just couldnt understand this persons reply. I now understand hes a wee bit

You are attempting to buy a house through an internet forum. If you wanted such specific detail can I suggest that the correct approach would have been to PM the seller, get his number and ASK these questions over the phone?

If you are so serious, do you have a mortgage offer or are you a cash buyer? When would you be in a position to exchange contracts? Have you a completion date in mind? Or perhaps you would prefer these questions were asked privately? Perhaps you now get the point.

God I have the classified ads!

for you only flamed haired falconer I am not the one advertising MY house for sale on the forum.

yes I was interested and the sale of my house would have nearly covered the price.

Location was the next issue for work, this could have been looked into. As both myself and my wife have jobs that gives us scope for re-location. Permission and hunting land availabilty and whether there is any is obviuosly an issue as somebody who flies BOPS.

If there is no permission as this has not been stated on the original thread then why bother.

Why on earth have you not contacted the man privately - or do you intend to do your conveyancing publicly on the forum as well?

Just because someone is advertising something on the forum does not give anyone the right to jump down their throat because they have not got the answer they want. Its an advert thats all. You seriously want the house - contact the seller, dont pick his answers apart publicly.

Its at this point that I remember what estate agents are for, dealing with irritating pseudo purchasers.

Yellow Hawk
07-04-2008, 09:20 PM
well one smart comment after another, you are correct he should not have posted this article on the forum, I should not have asked any questions on the forum, lets all stick to estate agents after this.

It would be an idea then not to sell houses on the forum and to ask questions accordingly.

This is not about flying birds of prey and I wished I had not asked such a basic and what I thought simple answer for reply.

I WILL NOT REPLY ANY FURTHER SIMPLE QUESTION SIMPLE ANSWER.

FlameHairedFalconer
07-04-2008, 09:23 PM
Phew - I think you finally got the point! It took some time, but we got there!

The seller has the same right as anyone else to post a sales ad on here. That does not give anyone else the right to pick it apart.

I would suggest that if anyone is interested they contact the seller directly and I will now close this thread.

Sorry folks, but the minority always spoil it for the majority.
