To be honest 've been wondering why there are no really distinct colour variations being bred in BOP (or maybe I'm just showing my ignorance!)
After all, we've been breeding colour variations in cage birds for decades (canaries, budgies, gouldians etc) with no real damage to the fitness or health of the birds in most cases. Be interesting to see a lutino Harris or Red tail!

So Lucky - you know about the old Red Factors too then?
I got one still in the aviary but I don't feed it colour food anymore and it's bright yellow now. Pretty whistler...

The Post Office issue sounds much more interesting...you didn't have a pair of tights over yer head did you? :D
I think I know that pet shop actually - the guy was a bit of a chancer if it's the same one. I went in once and he had just got a shipment of parrots and softbills. The birds were riddled with mite and I helped him delouse them. He just sprayed them and stuck them out on show for sale. Some folk...

Here's a link to pics of white red-tails...if you follow my meaning...
Cute.

Despite what they say, they're not albino - no pink eyes - so white seems to be a valid genetic colour in them.

Wes, is that an adult Krieders Redtail? One of our club members trapped a male passage that he's trying to hunt. They're great looking but I haven't heard much about how well they hunt. We have a few around here and sometime I might try trapping one. Kurt

Hi HH: I'm not sure. C and I spoke about some light colored R/T's I've been watching up at the lake and he trapped this one 75 miles east of me two weeks later. He sent the pics to rub it in. I'll check with C and find out more details or pm me for them.
