I can only see this book gaining value as the season draws on as more people will be wanting to buy it as their birds get closer to arrival.

After 50 years, still a classic --- and the first edition is the best by far!

i have heard them selling from £150-£400 but is this realistic? What would be a sensible price to sell it for?

£150 if I'm buying; £400 if I'm selling lol.

Have a look around & try and see what other copies have sold for.

Hard to believe but a mint dust-cover can double its value!

WANTED: mint condition dust cover!

I just did a bit of searching, the general price for first editions seems to be £350-£400 and even £550 (mint) so i am happy to sell this book for £300.

I'm still gutted I gave a first edition copy of this book away with a load of other apparently now very expensive falconry books it may have been 1990 when I did it but it still smarts.
