Stephens comes in around 2lb 15oz and mine at 3lb 1 1/2oz, both not fat.
Heres a couple of pics, and will keep you updated on progress.

Thats one of the best fitting hoods of the cheaper range I ever got hold off. I buy them from friend in the UAE every year and I have to say they are always my first choice when it comes to shipping birds.

Yeh, she should look stunning. Stephens longwing (Zena) was stopped at the tail end of 07 as she was looking a bit worse for wear due to her exploits. Im sure she will be back making vids soon.

Excellent guys! Im more then pleased for you! With Gyr/sakers you can get two different ones, one is the complete nutter, that spinns around your hand like a roller coaster and screams of anger, taking every oppertunity to bite or grabb you ( a bit like a prairie) The other one seem to be exactly what you guys got, calm and well behaved!!
Congrat!

Hi Sara,
Mine is down at 2lb 11oz today. Still needs more off. Shes picky with her grub, only ever eating 2 or 3 docs and spitting the heads back at me. Shes steady on the glove, hoods perfect and i can touch her all over, but if i go to pick her off her block or shelf shes all over the place. Early days tho and im sure she will snap outta that.

stephenSteve youd get far better results sooner mate if you fed her less!! i cant understand why your giving her between 3 and 5 chick bodies? surely if you use a chicken wing with the base meat off the falcon would ,A) spend more time on your fist feeding, whilst B) the falcon is getting less food!!, plus pulling and tearing at the sinue and bone use up valuable energy!!, im not trying to tell you or anyone how to train their bird, but the sooner you get the bird keen and looking for you, the less baiting and faster results. im just baffeld as to why your feeding as much as you are at this stage.! or is the bird an imprint??..colin.

No the birds not an imprint
I feed the bird as much as she will eat and she does not bait on the glove only on the block and thats not very often
Ive never had any problems with her or any of my other birds that ive trained the same way
I dont believe in starving a bird to get results as i dont think it is necessary .
by the time she is ready to fly she will be well manned and as steady as a rock and flying on landfill with the rest of them

stephenit must take months then mate in mild weather to get them sorted, ps i agree there is no need to starve anybird, but a managed gradual dropping of their weight!, and instead of baiting away as presently you talk about, the falcon would be eagerly awaiting your arival...each their own mate
