Just got in after a mornings hawking for rabbits with Mia my female gos and Mavi my springer,... walked across the first stubble field..nothing went into a copse and Mavi flushed one. Mia was off crashing through the hedge going towards the stubble field while I was still stuck in brambles by the time i got there nothing but a pile of fur and a p-ed off looking bird... walked around the farm across many stubble and grass fields about 5 miles.......nothing went back to the car and what was sitting aboout 20 yards from my car another rabbit so sent the dog around so he would flush away from the car... got with in about 50 meters and the quarry was off with mia right up its bum few hundred meters she nailed him, but after a few sumersaults she let go .. it ran down a irigation ditch and was gone.....i got there with the dog but nothing .went into the last copse where there is a small pond two very wierd looking ducks were flushed then sat in a tree making very stange quacking.... so i held onto mia just in case they are rare...then the dog flushed a pheasant accidently it got halfway across the field when Mia took it clean out of the air ...time for a cup of tea!................ i know it is out of season must stress it was an accident ..it flew away happlily it just looks dead :(
