What is a good bordem breaker for a fhh.
Over thee last week my harris has become a screamer even after she has been feed?! dont know why but im guessing its because she is boared.
She has been flying free since before october and had a couple of kills.
But she just wont shutup!
cheers

Go and get yourself some bones from your local butchers and let her have a pick on them, this may help keep her from being bored.

try a a foot ball or a tennis ball. Even try an old leash, or thick rope. If she is moulting free, put a swing perch in there, it's very entertaining for you and the bird! table tennis balls r funny on concrete but cn scare the life outta ure bird lol, till they get used to it. Try hidin the food smetimes if she's in an aviary, keeps her and u on ure toes lol.

i use rabbit heads, from my own few kills and alot given to me by my ferreting mates, occationaly i put one under my coat, then when i pick sky up in the avery as i face her away i drop it,we walk out do what ever it is i have planned and when we return the fairy's have left a rabbit head for her it keeps her ocupied all day and also keeps her beak in shape.

i see were you are coming from BWH, is it a scream or is it calling? my fem was very vocal but i made sure i did not respond to her calls because the peeping and tweeting very very soon turns to calling. HH's are by nature vocal so you have to expect some noise full stop. I may be wrong and look forward to more enlightened responces but it is coming to that time of year when a fem may be thinking of pairing up!!!!!!?????

i put mine down to moult a couple of weeks back and although before then she would call out during the day, she is again silent as she is not flying.

just my thoughts hope they help
