Steady on, Bubo! :) That's not Will, I am! He can't even spell 'William' properly, although I doubt that's even his real name.

Stick to the topic, boy! If you can't be constructive, be silent.

That's cool, Bubo.

On the subject of other birds, I wonder if anyone on here keeps those little moptop canaries? Those are great!
As for parrots, they're a bit like your average page three girl. They look great, but the instant they open their mouth you wanna shoot it! :)

I breed Gouldian Finches, Diamond Doves, Bengalise Finches, Irish Fancies (canaries), Yorkshire canaries and Chinese Painted Quail.
Just got rid of a large and succesful stud of Stafford Canaries now I have got my Harris I couldn't afford the time, so something had to go.

I love the Gouldians, fantastic colouring. Did you ever have any Javas, Bod?

my hubby had the canaries and finches. They are lovely to listen to but not really my cup of tea. those gouldians are fantastic to look at. have any of you seen those funny looking canaries the ones that look like they need a hair cut (sorry but i dont know what they are called). that is what my hubby had i think they are so funny looking.

As strange as this may seem i really would like a corvid. they are great birds.

I have a 54 year old green amazon who loves everyone except me! Used to have an african grey, timone grey and a pair of macaws but some w****r stole one of the macaws so we rehomed the others. Our grey used to swear all the time! I find parrots much harder to work with than BOPs.

Sorry for drifting off topic folks i justwanted to try to get to the bottom of things?

Parrots!

I went to Las Vegas about 12 years ago and met a guy called "Jo Craftwald" who deos many of the parrot shows in the casino's ect. He also has BOP which is how i met him (Thru NAFA) fascinating bloke!

Trains all of his parrrots just like falconry birds! weigh's them weigh's the food etc, etc.

He had a Cockatoo which was trained to say certain words when he touched certain parts of it's legs and feet, fascinating and it had a vocab of over 100 diff words??

His show was great with him having this big long conversation with a bird???

Well it amused me anyways

Here's my Greater Sulfur-Crested Cockatoo. She's 30 years old. Her name is Lovie. She was raised in Australia and brought to America before the export laws took effect. She outlived her original owners and I was lucky enough to get her. I also keep finches and canaries.
