hello put mia down for the moult :( on sunday evev though i did not want to there were far to many baby bunnies on my land getting munched on by brian the ferret :twisted: to continue but IM BORED ALREADY countdown till the season starts again :lol: anyone else gave up yet

put the fhh up last week,concentrating on rook hawks at present until later in the year

mines finished! he he! started training again - didnt realise how much I've missed it. YAY!

Put my male hh down to moult yesterday; his tail feathers are very tatty now and the wing tips are broken.
He's worked hard this season but not like last year; I still have the 2 falcons to play with.
A well earned rest after his upset earlier with the aquisition of both falcons.

I'm done...My bird is going free in a couple of days after she is good and fat. I have been busting too many nests with babies in them to continue.
Oh well,.....till next September......Harris's tiercel comin at ya!

My tiercel gos is as fat as a pig on the trolley and casting bits of down. Does this mean he will start dropping feathers soon, in spite of the frosts? I've packed up flying for the season.

i didnt think my barn owl would moult as he hatched mid october but he is, losing bits of down and other little feathers (none of the flight feathers though). The new ones are already through and he seems to be much more hungry.

its still hovering around freezing point in the n.e. so that means the season is still on!
