Never done it but would be interested to know how you got ya bird used to it heard it's not easy :wink:

What model of lamp do you use and how much did it cost ?
I fly my Harris at night and have gone through so many bloody rechargeable lamps it is getting costly.

maxi-mass,wish i'd got some pics like that!i to was out last nite,with my mhh.he's a late hatched bird & seems to do everything i want except nail quarry!he flies bunnies with a vengeance,but is still unentered!doh!
took a big old bunnie lamping 2 wks ago,squeeled for what seemed like ages,by the time i'd got to them-rabbit had kicked the bird off!the bird & i were well pi***d off.he hasnt learned to get them by the head yet!!
falconer-go lamping,you'll love it!took my young harris 20 mins training in garden,nxt nite went out & had quite a few flights!!

cheers kev,he'll get ther eventually(or make a small sunday roast!)
fly the bird 6 /7 days a wk,only once or twice at nite,just for variety & oportunity!finally got hold of a ferret(like rocking horse poo this time of year!)so hopefully more oportunity awaits!!
if the bird takes so much as a 'wild 'lobworm you'll all be the first to know!!

Could be a means to disaster tho the young bunny?
Unless you intend to fly him thru the moult? and keep him going on them as they increase in size.
If you put a young eyass down to moult finishing off on a young Bunny and he is just entered, they can be torture to get going confidently the following Autumn on full size rabbits?
Words like: Grandmother, eggs, not and Sucking spring to mind, fellers!
Just maybe a good point for the newbies :idea: :wink:

yeah,found a cute little bunny atached to the front of my ferret last week!but so far the only one.
when it gets a prob will stop.
want to fly until end of may if need be,bird was 16 weeks old-2nd week of dec.so when will he moult??cant see feathers dropping end of march?!any ideas??
varmint,i know what your saying!but will he have any confidence if he doesnt catch owt at all?!!-mind you he keeps catching dead things,but theyre easy with my 8yr old lad dragging em along!
