Very nice chris, don't the youngsters soon fill a nest ledge with cr*p.

Whats the falcon laying on the block then? Looks like theres some rednape in it but its hard to tell with it lying down!

How many are due in the hack pen over the next few weeks then? I know its been a good year up there. Looking forward to comming up in a week. Make sure there's plenty of coffee!

Hi Chris, the tea and coffee never run out son :D
The 1st birds in the pen are pere x saker, pere x lanner, pere x prairie and lanner. they will have a couple of weeks before the big guns take over.
The tiercel on the block is a red nape, he's a little cracker.
Look forward to seeing you and your falcons.

Hi liz, I am just waiting for the gykin to feather-up some more before I post any shots of him, yes he is going to be a stunner. The 7/8th female that I am imprinting is identical in colour to the blck gyr, they will both be really something.
I'm not sure how you will get the man down to Norfolk, I can't get him away for more than a couple of hours

Hi Chris, fine looking gyr/peregrine , did you get many orders for gyr/prairies , they dont seem to be as popular as they once were , i had a good one from falconmews [2nd hand] but they dont appear to suit everyone, mark.

Hi Mark, the prairie was having peregrine semen in her, but right at the end we decided to just put one shot of gyr in for the hell of it. This was the result, she is sold and we could have sold her 4 times over to be honest.
I would not like one on my cadge but as a pursuite falcon I think they could be something else.

You are right of course, a female is a whole new ball game.
Add to this that she's an imprint and it gets more complicated still, i am looking forward to seeing what she can do thats for sure.
At the moment I am holding back from getting her on the wing, once I start she will have to keep up the progress. Nothing worse than stopping and starting, but at the moment things are too busy to get going.

Hi Chris,

Don't mean to highjack your thread.

But wanted to share my experience with everyone.

Picked up my new Tiercel Peregrine on Wednesday (thanks for the guidance in by the way)

Great place you and Bryn have there. Some exceptional birds. Everything was stunning. Nice to finally meet Bryn.

This bird came out of the chamber at 1lb 9 1/4 ozs. Really looking forward to getting up and going.

Cheers again
