How long have you been flying Longwings M8? If you can't fly and train a Falcon then forget the idea unless you join a company like NBC who will train you to do the Job but you will also need to be proficient in other areas of Pest Control as well
All the best with your search but it is hard work when done properly especially in the winter months I don't envy your choice of employment.

1st thing i'd do is use a spell checker Fraz..

No offence but if your going for a job, would you use one on the application form?

Ask yourself how it looks to an employer...

If you're going to correct people on their spelling you might want to make a thorough job of it then you won't look a complete tit...

Really? So how does that work?

I'll give you a job, it pays £40 per week and I'll keep the other £20 for putting up with you :box:

Seriously does the job center pay employers £60 per week to assist in you finding employment?

Best of luck with the job hunting, it's refreshing to see that someone actually wants to work rather than sitting back :supz:

Dyslexics(however you spell it) normally have a higher than average IQ..

Poor grammer when going for a job shows your not makeing an effort and speaks volumes...

So the potential employer has a chance of understand what you have written and thinks this is a young man who has put some effort into filling out this form and might actually want to work here.

Fraser, I am dyslexic, I have worked hard to overcome this issue. It is possible to get further help and advice to improve your spelling and grammer.

Frankly I feel that the attitude of 'not being ashamed' and 'whats the point of filling in a form correctly if you are going to spell wrongly at work' is poor, you should be trying to do your best in any application and in any job, not just making your dyslexia an excuse not to bother trying. This at least shows potential employers that you are willing to make an effort.

So, what do you personally think the point is of filling in a form correctly.?
There are a great many famous people who are dyslexic and I have personally known, or had in my employ, a great many people who are dyslexic. I agree it's nothing to be ashamed of but it's also nothing to keep rubbing peoples noses in as if they have some sort of problem for not understanding your almost indecipherable postings. We all have handicaps to overcome which affect us in job applications and interviews and most of us make the effort to be the person the employer is looking for..not the other way around. It's about personal standards and respect...is that a mysterious concept? People who are too lazy to fill in an application form properly, arrive at interview on time or put any effort into their appearance are usually a bag of self indulgent shiite if you make the mistake of giving them a job....in my extremely extensive experience.

What happens if you are working on landfill and you are required to fill in health and safety forms, or the accident book, or notes on what you have done that day? How are you going to convince an employer that you have read and understood the safety instructions?

<Sigh> it must be great to be young and think you are invincible and that everything will be handed to you on a plate. Good luck in your job search Fraser, I hope you have better luck than I am having.

as you know im a manager for a pest control company and my spelling is not the best, but your spelling will let you down as most pest control companys under take routine service vists to bussiness and a large part of it is paper work and report writing as this is needed to prove that the site is very of pests and your spelling will let you down. if this is a trade you want to get into you may need to look at ways that tjis could be improved
