Try cleaning it after youve fed!!!...and grease it regular, wont get problems then...to get it back to normal, steam it and clean it with a suede brush

thanks mate :D lol @ gaz

hawka i made a deal with the guy who i gave the deposit too, he let me borrow it for a week to man it and get used to it and after a week of reading and trying to man it i decided its a very good bird but luring, and other things, its harder than a harris hawk

its getting better and better, it was very aggressive i i got it to feed of the glove after 2 days and now then i put her on a diet and now she is flying to me on the glove with a chick on hand

but i did alot of reading these birds are easily lost , it aint good for beginners they can travel miles and miles and trying to find it , it isnt gonna be fun to loose my first bird, to i spoke to the guy and he was fine with it and no hard feelings, he will still let me go onto his land and even hunt with his birds but he is gonna take the falcon back and the deposit i paid him he is gonna get swap harris hawk equipment

gloves, bag, scale, bow perch and lures etc etc and alot of teaching if im ever by his land

so its sorted :) im glad i made the right choice now, so im gonna read and read and then when i get my mew and other stuff sorted and training im gonna go for a young harris

im taking the falcon to brians its my last day on sunday with it and after that im gonna drop her off

she is a trained hunter but only for the experienced

good thing was i nearly gave in after 2 days but she started responding, and putting her on a diet really helped

its amazing what a diet does to a bird :D

what shall i use for greasing

i used the old asian and middle eastern method earlier i used olive oil just a lil and made it a lil supple

but coz im feeding it chicks on it, is their not a anti bacterial softner available

cheers
