Has anyone bred this hybrid using both male and female Per/lanners or is it always pere with a lanner falcon?
Cheers

Still waiting for some feed back! My mate has bought a pair of Pere/Lanners with the hope of breeding but I have only seen it done with a Pere and a Lanner so am thinking to myself he may be in for a long wait for chicks!
Would like some comments from a few people a bit more in the know, please.

The males should be fertile, but I wouldn't expect the females to be.
Besides, I would think that a Pere/Lanner X Pere/Lanner would make a Pere/Lanner / Pere/Lanner. If you can wrap your head around that, you've got something between your ears.
If your friend was sold these birds as a breeding pair, he may have been had. I'm just basing my statement on general hybrid knowlege.

I have two Gyr /Lanner females which lay, one of which has produced young for several years so your mates female may lay...time will tell.
I also bred with a Pere/Barbary male and a female Lanner this year.

I bred them with a Pere in with a female Lanner. I kept back one of the females and put buckets of viable Pere/Barbary semen in her. They are not fertile! Males are but not the Females......
