they look ok, but what is the material on the sides next to the top ? as occasionaly when falcons bait they need the grip of astroturf round the sides to assist regaining their mount!!, will the material give this ??

Fitted around the top is carpet, in the past I have fitted astro turf but have found that sometimes the seconary feathers may become damages and have found that carpet is a better option..

Carl Cheshire be carefull though carl, i myself have lost a goss due to carpet in the past, and i know of 2 others who have met the same fate...the problem is their talons can get stuck inside the fabric trapping them,i was gobsmacked to find my breeding male goss hanging dead in his aiviary one morn having got a talon stuck in the carpet weve!! ever since ive campaigned against carpet for raptors.ps id got away with it for 3 years but alas it trapped me in the end......colin

Colin I would be very suprised if a talon could get caught in this type of material but can understand your worries this could aesily be replaced for astro-turf.

Carpet comes in weaved loops and just straight fabric. Make sure you don't use the weaved loops. Sorry to hear about your gos, lessons learned the hard way are not the way we want to learn. I made my own raptor post and I was advised to make sure I didn't use looped carpet.

Will be going the The CLA and the West Midlands Game Fair I have tried to get up to Scottish Game Fair but no joy in getting a stand or getting another vendor to take my kit, nevermind there is always next year.

We are holding stock of all products and are all available next working day.
