Hi Guys here are the Pictures of my FHH flying to the kite, That was yesterday. The wind was very strong. She started soaring the first time at about 300 feet, came in above the kite. But sadly I did not get any pics of that, because the card was full. The qualaty is not good.

Very nice. How long did it take to get her going 100 feet? Is 300 the highest shes been to?

She went 150 feet today. 300 feet soaring was the highest. She needs quite strong winds to get high, my flyingarea quite flat. I will try it on the weekend in the highlands she should fly there even better.
It took me about one week everyday flying to the kite.

Yup and Gosses although this was nearly 10 yrs ago, once much above tree line 150 -200' ish though they do have a tendency to soar so in the ned I used to do multiple flights to a lower pitch. Used to do this as part of my enseaming routine( & would do still if I had Gosses) & found it really sharpened em up quick

Hi Adrian,
thx for your offer, but I will put the bird down for moult next week anyway. For the next season I will get a kite for free. I can use the kite of the breeder I will work for. He trains his gyrs and other falcons with it. He also has got a balon so I can use that on windless days as well. He lives near the yorkshire moors so I can fly the HH there. I read a Guy in yorshire is hunting with a cast of 3 HH flying on soar.
