having done this(flying falcons and tiercels at game) for more than a few years i have found that my best seasons had goals involved. For myself, i know that the grouse that i fly (sage grouse) are not going to be a legal quarry for much longer( they will be listed as and endangered species soon, for no good reason) so i have made it my goal to make a credible effort for the next few years on this quarry before they disapear for good as a legal falconry quarry (the best quarry there is, to my way of thinking). i find that these sorts of goals help to focus ones attention on being successful in falconry. so what are your goals for the oncoming season?

That isn't a baby seal in the picture, not by any stretch of the imagination.
Jim, if you can get one of your AKs into Canada, I know where to point you.
Sealmeat is the best there is.

sea mammals are not my idea of tasty meat( i don't like fish either). a little time spent with the Inuit people that eat a lot of seal meat and various other sea mammal meat will teach you that the farts that come from this diet are world class worst you have ever been around.

My goal from the first season carrying the telemetry for my sponsor was to fly a Passage NA gos well(he had one). I am getting there. I have had a few detours along the way with PR Finnish goshawks, and imprint handmedowns. I am a sucker for goshawks. My goal....That I have been working for this yr, is to catch over 100 head with both the passage bird and the PR Finnish male.
Wish me luck

My goal is to continue to hawk grouse and make money while doing it. This means I may have to move this season, or maybe just after the season. Looking for a reasonable solution.

No, Dan. That plan is a writeoff because of the idiots in the Ministry of Environment over here. They still have the Anatum and Tundra listed as endangered species as per a 1976 agreement with Canada and the U.S.
Did you get the other birds shipped?

It took us 3 months to get the export permit from cites, birds will be shipped early september. Whew...
Our cites registration is under process so next time it will go much faster.
