Read this in Italian forums. A italian Breeder have make 2 of this strange hybrid. Male 1100 grams Female 1380 grams.

how can you say this mate when you dont know how the bird hunts and acts it could have all the looks of a harris but be a tenacious hunter on the other hand it could be **** but you cant judge on pictures

it looks just like a hh i see nothing else from any other rt or ferrugie , unless its just me but apart from the white flash on the front ??

I heard about this breeding from a friend. From what I can gather the breeding was not intentional.
But the point is it looks like a decent bird with reasonable feet. It will be interesting to hear how it performs in the field.

i can also see some of the ferrugie in the wings mate and i with you on the chest of the birde is more like a red tail it would be nice if we new the size and weight

yes id like to see some wieghts les as it may be a chunky monkey ,i dont dislike the way it looks but to be fair i prefer the ferrugie x red in looks :yawinkle:

The hybrids are young of this year. I think they are not in action now.
They are born naturally, no AI.

One of the most interseting things about this thread is that it tells us that this particular female redxferu is fertile. Says a lot about how closely related the red and feru are.

Nice raptor it looks like a rt/hh but I'm no expert

Another hybrid with Hh genes, as I've said before I think every hybrid I've seen with Harris hawk in it has always taken the markings of the Harris
Does the Harris have some sort of dominance in it's genes??
