View Full Version : Ultimate gamehawking!
Ok,Im gonna start this thread! What is the gamehawker seeking from his falcons ultimately? How often does he acheive his goals? How does he go about doing this? What is the best way to procur a successful gamehawk that stoops and kills game on a regular basis? Are you indeed bothered about kill ratio at all?We all pay good money for our falcons and therefore fly as we see fit, whats your bag??????

- Hello, if the main purpose of a particular falconer is to increase the quarry-score more than other issues ((with their own gamehawk -falcon)), so the particular training going on that the falcon learn "almost for their own" ((with no-more pressure by the falconer for go more high in the sky)) where is their own better pitch regards to the particular characteristics of each land-wind-quarry-etc ((no matters if the falcon can`t achieve high-speeds & high-pitches while stoops because that is not the point if the falconer wants more quarry but not more quality-flights)) - the falcon knows their own job of caughing quarry :)
- But if too the falconer wants most better style in the pitches-stoops, so the falconer may enter in the fact of that he don`t need worry to much about the quantity of quarries taked from these slips, because their main interest lay in the style-high-quality of the slips more than in the quantity of quarries taked by their falcon ((here the falcon is "forced" to act just like the falconer wants although the falcon knows that less quarry may be taked like that manner but anyway he follows the falconer`s will)).
- Thanks, regards. Roberto.

Dean,
For me head count is less important, Height, position, and one heck of stoop tops my list. To me, their is nothing more awe inspireing than seeing falcon stoop from a pitch that you can just barely see the falcon with the naked eye. Their has been many quality falcons as you know that have come and gonne within the uk and if I were to name one as my benchmark although their have been many that would fit this category I would be happy as larry ( HAL )
Just for the record I don't know MC and have never been out and witnessed
the bird fly, but have watched video footage of him and have spoken to people who have and everyone have spoken highley of the bird doing high
pitches 1000ft plus consitently when conditions were right.

Unlimited falcons mostly flown on unlimited ground with a vast killing cone!!We both know that getting a falcon waiting on at vast height is not that difficult on the contrary it is done in almost every country show in the summer!!!The problem lies that there are limits to actual game catching with falcons in certain terrains!!We have all seen the vids of the americans unlimited longwing flights, many of us want to emulate this, truth is,if we are going to be succesful in falconry terms with a large longwing we must know our limits!!!If we cannot enjoy stoops within the 500ft minus range on lowland game we must move on to be a succesful hunter with longwings!!!Only my opinion though, someone may change my my mind, maybe you this season!!!:supz:
