Mine used to do it all the time Johnny.
As soon as I picked her up, she was silent.
I had her on a bow perch in the back of the car once, I was driving along, she was asleep, with her head under her wing and chattering away!
I think some just do it.
Maybe a bit like some people are really quiet, and some just can't keep their mouths shut.......
Regards,
Lucky.

My Harris always starts at this time of year, I'm sure it's to do with the seasonal changes. He's parent reared and has started bringing me twigs occasionally when he's out 'hunting' or in the garden!!!

I was talking to someone on MSN last night and they said why my hawk is squawking is because im slowly imprinting it ?
Its thinking im the one who gives him food ?
Should i make a food passage in his mew so i can just drop it in with out him seeing me !
Thanks
Johnny

Rubbish Johnny, sometimes they make a noise and sometimes they don't, mate!
Your bird is a P/R and you have already seen this the past season, so nevermind, remember it is breeding time and his mate is not there.
Relax!
