Hi,
I have finally been posted to a part of the country where I hope I can do a hawk justice, and am intending to complete a falconry course at Jedburgh / Dalhousie in October '05, once they can include some hunting in the course too, and hopefully by then I will have accumulated much of the equipment and facilities I need to start talking to breeders for a female Harris'.
In the meantime, if anyone is in this area and doesn't mind me picking their brains etc., then it would be great to hear from you.
Regards,
Steve.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the welcome! No, not the army! I'm in Air Traffic Control, and have just been posted to Edinburgh airport, after a year training in Bournemouth.

Well, I am still training (and will be for about another 6 months or so until I can go "solo"), but I am sure I can look up the answers, or find "a man who can" if needs be!

Hi Slink, welcome, there are a few lads on the forum within an hour from you, myself included so you shouldn't have too many problems getting advice and plenty on here only too willing to help. Is this a permanent posting you have and therefore have you the property to allow a mews etc.

Hi Goldie,
Yes it is a permanent posting, and I hope that by the time I have done the course etc, I will have found & bought a house up here! We have a house to sell in Oxford first, so that may delay things, but we're trying to get it all done for this summer! The course will go ahead regardless, but obviously if I haven't go somewhere permanent to live by then, I shall delay speaking to breeders etc until I am settled.
Steve.

Of course not! The import and export of aluminium tubes full of self loading cargo cannot be taken lightly!
And thanks!
