I seem to remember a Gyr or Gyr Saker pairing up with a wild Peregrine in Germany about 10-12 yrs ago, which is what kicked off all the fuss over there Brian?

seems a good forum but maybe some of them need to qualify their statements with factual information.

Might join it and call myself......CAPTIVE KEEPER......hey bubo.

yeah jester and i sort of just let a couple of little things slip accidentally on purpose and you should see them get their quills up, it is funny and then they kindly remind us that we are on the wild bird forum!!! but... some really do know their stuff about wild birds though . Some of the info is very good but as you say some lack depth.

one guy had some really good information that could have been useful for many of us but wasnt allowed to share it cos it had something to do with a captive bird and not a wild one and was told not to post it????????? I personally find the two go together and i have found so much about barn owls that i would never have found out if i just carried on studying them in the wild!

look forward to seeing you on there WW. i limit my readings to the raptor/corvid section for obvious reasons.

oh WW ask jester what he thinks about travelling four hours to try and spot a bird http://yelims4.free.fr/MDR/MDR85.gifhttp://yelims4.free.fr/MDR/MDR85.gifhttp://yelims4.free.fr/MDR/MDR99.gif
