I keep mine in seclusion pens that are approx 25ft long by 20 feet wide and they are 8 ft high, HAlf the roof is covered and the other half is soft netted.
I offer two alterantive nest sites, one v. high one lower, and both are occupied by a Car tyre 9Cleaned and disinfected at the start of every season) stuffed with Dry Shavings then adorned with some twigs and greenery and some dry grass, they generally use the materials i provide adding variouse bits of their own.
HH are usually very easy to breed provided they are given enough time to acustomise to each other and are fed on a diet based mainly on mammals, like rabbit and rat.
A good indication if noise were not enough that they are copulating may materialise in feathers missing or messed on the nape of the females neck!
Usual Clutch size is 4 of which the incubation period is 32/33 days.
Hope that helps!
It will, thanks for it Varmit!
